June Hunt is an author, singer, speaker, and founder of HOPE FOR THE HEART, a worldwide, biblical counseling ministry, featuring the award-winning radio broadcast by the same name heard daily across America.
June is the recent recipient of the fourth annual "Excellence in Communication Award," presented March 7, 2008, by Women in Christian Media.
Additionally, HOPE IN THE NIGHT is June's live two-hour call-in counseling program that helps people untie their tangled problems with biblical hope and practical help. HOPE FOR THE HEART radio programs are being broadcast in 25 countries.
Early family pain was the catalyst that shaped June's compassionate heart. Later, as youth director for more than 600 teenagers, she became aware of the need for sound biblical counseling. Her work with young people and their parents led June to a life commitment of Providing God's Truth for Today's Problems.
After years of teaching and research, June began developing scripturally-based counseling tools called Biblical Counseling Keys, which address definitions, characteristics, causes, and solutions for 100 topics (such as marriage and parenting, anger and abuse, guilt and grief). Recently, these individual topics have been compiled to create the landmark Biblical Counseling Library, from which her book, the Counseling Through Your Bible Handbook was extracted.
The Counseling Keys have become the foundation for the HOPE FOR THE HEART Biblical Counseling Institute for Hope initiated by The Criswell College. Each monthly conference in the Dallas-based Institute provides training to help spiritual leaders, counselors, and other caring Christians meet the very real needs of others.
June has served as a guest professor at colleges and seminaries, both nationally and internationally, teaching on topics such as crisis counseling, child abuse, wife abuse, homosexuality, forgiveness, singleness, and self-worth. Her works are currently being translated into over 20 languages, including Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, and Arabic.
She is the author of Seeing Yourself Through God's Eyes, Bonding with Your Teen through Boundaries, Caring for a Loved One with Cancer, How to Forgive. . .When You Don't Feel Like It, and more than 30 topical HopeBooks. June is also a contributor to the Soul Care Bible and the Women's Devotional Bible.
As an accomplished musician, June has been a guest on numerous national television and radio programs, including the NBC Today show. She has toured overseas with the USO and been a guest soloist with the Billy Graham Crusades. Five recordings-Songs of Surrender, Hymns of Hope, The Whisper of My Heart, The Shelter Under His Wings, and The Hope of Christmas-all reflect her heart of hope.

Forgiving others is not easy. Usually it requires us to revisit past hurts and broken relationships. Given the choice, many of us would rather move on than do that. Yet deep down we know the Bible says forgiveness is right. But what if we don't feel like it? Why is the act of forgiveness so hard?
