Dr. Ted Baehr is a nationally known movie and media critic and the Founder/Publisher of MOVIEGUIDE®, a magazine and website that rates and reviews movies for family audiences, reaching over 3,000,000 people in 93 countries every month. Using his 18 years of research on the media's impact on children and adults, Dr. Baehr has become a notable expert featured on shows such as 'Oprah', 'CNN', 'Entertainment Tonight', and the '700 Club'. He's written books and numerous articles featured in USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. His lectures have taken him from Bombay, India to the House of Lords in London, England speaking on a variety of media and cultural topics. Dr. Baehr is the Chairman of the Christian Film and Television Commission and has served on the board of numerous organizations. He's past president of the Episcopal Radio-Television Foundation which won an Emmy for their animated version of C.S. Lewis's classic, "The Chronicles of Narnia; The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe". Dr. Baehr is a devoted husband and father of four and is the off-spring of actors, Robert "Tex" Allen and Evelyn Pierce, both of whom had long screen and stage careers.
