It is never biblial to have sex outside of marriage. It is never a right. Adulterous would imply sex. He had the right to seek out others but not to have sex with them. Make sure you require STD testing before having intercourse with your X. Good advice about elders and counseling...make sure you don't need an addiction specialists.....you get what you pay for in counseling.....also make sure you have addressed your heart as well; have you owned your part in the demise of the relationship too...is ther co-dependency.....what have you forgiven if anything...can you forgive?
