Question:
How serious is addiction in the United States?
Answer:
Addiction in the United States is a huge problem. One quarter who are
going to die this year will be dying directly related to addictive issues.
Four hundred and fifty thousand people will be dying from the effects
of cigarette smoking.
One hundred thousand people will be dying from the effects of alcohol
consumption. Then, you add other things that aren’t even considered,
such as overweight, such as diabetes, such as liver problems related to
overeating. Addiction is a massive problem in the United States.
Then you add what are considered “soft” addictions such as
pornography, such as workaholism, such as over-exercise, such as
anorexia. It is a massive problem in this country. But, the great thing
