Question:
Should a person who uses marijuana on a daily basis be concerned?
Answer:
A person who uses marijuana on a daily basis should be concerned.
Now, here’s the message of hope: marijuana is not as addictive as
heroin. It’s not as addictive as cigarettes— cigarettes being one of the
most addictive things out there.
However, there are chemical effects that occur when a person is
regularly smoking marijuana. The ability for the mind to make fine
distinctions is affected by regular usage of marijuana. Also, there is a
relational coarseness that comes into the life where the person will
begin to lose the ability to pick on the nuances of relationships. There’s
a price to be paid with the regular smoking of marijuana.
Also, it’s considered to be a doorway drug. That is, it opens the
doorway to other addictions. That being the case, one should be pretty
careful about the regular smoking of marijuana, and stop it. It’s easier
to stop than most of the other addictive substances out there.
