iQuestions Faculty, John D. Beckett
Question:
Does faith have a place in business?
Answer:
You know, after I became serious about my own faith, I thought, “I
can’t practice this in business. I need to go into some form of church-
related work.”
Then it became clear to me that I could bring these two worlds
together, that faith was just as relevant in the workplace as it was in
missionary work or church work, and so I began intentionally trying to
bring these two worlds together.
Now, I’m convinced that really it’s the only way to function in a totally
integrated manner, that we can be one person—one person at work,
one person on Sunday, one person on Monday.
In fact, we can love Mondays.
