iQuestions Faculty, John D. Beckett
Question:
If I'm not the boss, can I still have influence on others in the
workplace?
Answer:
What about if you’re not the boss? Does that mean that you can’t have
influence? Absolutely not. You can have influence wherever you are.
As a department head, as a turret lathe operator, you’ve got a sphere
of influence because there are people around you, there are people
who are watching what you are doing, and you can have a profound
effect on them by your character, by your conduct, and by your
allegiance to the things that you really believe.
