Question: 
 
I don’t like my current job. I’d really like to leave and start working for 
myself in a home-based/direct-sales business, but I’m afraid. Am I 
crazy to leave the security of my current job? 
 
Answer: 
 
ELIZABETH: I know a lot of people are probably thinking, “Is there 
something else out there for me? Could I leave the security of my 
current job, and even have my own business?” 
 
You’re not crazy for thinking or asking that question. I know for a lot 
of us, security is a big reason why we stay doing something that we 
really don’t enjoy doing. But I want to encourage you that there’s hope 
out there, and you can leave a corporate job if you want to. You can 
get into another business and have that same security. You may have 
to work hard at your current job while working your home-based 
business so that at that perfect moment you’ve got the income that 
enables you to leave your corporate job and go into your home 
business solely. 
 
It’s a struggle, and it’s something that people question, but we’ve 
found that you can leave that corporate job. 
 
RANDY: We did that. We had a corporation and we found that we can 
start this home-based business, work it a little bit into our schedule, 
and as it began to grow, we found that we could give up the corporate 
environment and just do the home-based business only. 
 
 
 
If you find yourself a little bit unfulfilled in the office and you want a 
new adventure, a home-based business is a great way to start out and 
do something you really want to do.  
 
Don’t hold on to that security, because there is so much more security 
in having your own business—and what better way to do that than to 
work out of your home.
