This seems like it could be a good approach. I have recently been doing a survey with children and their i-pods, mp3 players etc. and the music that's on them. The vast majority of the music is unedited and talks about subject that are lewd, violent and hurtful. Something has to be done about this.

He said, "Control, tools to be responsible, their standards, and help your children to be self regulating," What I hear is a man who is talking about censorship. Like everything else in life, moderation is the key. I brought my step daughter up in a tolerant home. We supervised her, and answered questions she had about the media she listened to or had seen. She grew up just fine. One child, still married, and full of life. My sister-in-law brought her children up in a rigid Christian home. No fun, no music, no movies, and no dating. Her reward: a %% son, who was int bible college and a daughter how was divorced. I have seen to many people who grew up in a controlled environment self destruct after they left home. Just think Jimmy Swaggert, he preached against sexual immorality. Why did he do that? He did it because he was sexually immoral. Just saying no is not the answer!

Ted B. is ABSOLUTELY right about kids and Media. In general the Media's view of the world is different from mine. I do not want my children adopting their viewpoint. I can not and do not want to isolate my children from the world but I do want to insulate and prepare them for the onslaught of immoral and misinformation that they will eventually face.

Yes, we have the freedom for these companies to make these horrible games, and thats fine, But we also need to showcase our Freedom of Choice, and show our young people how to CHOOSE between healthy and unhealthy... Sure, I can choose for my child not to play these games, but what about the child next door, who is learning to kill, and may harm my child... We need to CHOOSE as a society what is healthy for our society... and We need to CHOOSE to not allow things like this into our communities, to bring our level of humanity and civilization down...
