Question:
Is oral sex really sex?
Answer:
Despite what you might have heard from national leaders, oral sex is
sex. By definition, oral sex is sex.
Think about it. It’s sharing private parts of you physically with each
other in a very intimate way. That’s sex. It’s seeking to bring each
other to orgasm, the height of the sexual experience. That would make
it sex. You’re capable of transmitting and receiving sexually-
transmitted diseases during oral sex.
Maybe think of it this way. You’re sitting at the kitchen table, your
spouse comes home, and you say, “How was your day?” And in the
course of describing what they did at work or what they did that day,
they mention they had oral sex with one of the people that they were
spending some time with. That would justifiably create some problems
for you, because it’s an intimate exchange. It’s something that fits
outside the boundaries of marriage.
So, is oral sex, “sex?” Yes, definitely it is.
